Today William and Aaron graduated from Marine Combat Training. David, Carol, Laura, Aaron Mawby, my parents, and our whole family were able to attend the ceremony at Camp Pendleton.
This journey started back on June 16th for Will & Aaron, when they left for boot camp together. God, in His sovereignty, separated them that very first week. Those were tough days for them, but our God is faithful. He sustained them and taught them both so much during boot camp. After being apart for 4 months, God chose to bring them back together during this 4-week training time. Now today, 5 months after that middle-of-the-night departure back in June, they graduated MCT together! Wow! God's got a great sense of humor!

Carol, I hope you add your pictures from today--I can't ever get enough pictures, especially of Marines! I'm anxious to hear your description and perspective of today's events!
Aaron & Will both left this afternoon for the airport to fly off to their MOS schools for the next phase of training; Will, to Monterey, CA for Language School, and Aaron to Pensacola, FL for Intel training. The tough physical part of their training is over--now their brains will be stretched! The transformation of these two former couch potatoes has been incredible!! We are so proud of their accomplishments!

This will be my last blog entry. It has been an absolute blast blogging these past 5 months. Thanks, Carol, for setting it up and teaching me how to do this--a new one for me! I hope you all have enjoyed reading as much as we have enjoyed writing.
