just ended up tumbling down it!
There's nothing like those govt. issued glasses!As Teresa said, we had a great day of celebration together as this phase of training came to a close. We were remembering that June morning as the guys were picked up by a recruiter to begin this adventure, and it has been an amazing transformation. We, too, are so proud of both of them and are anxious to see what God has in store in the days and months ahead. Here are just a couple of shots from the day...Teresa is a much more prolific photo taker than I am :)
Will has arrived in Monterey and was due to check in to the base there sometime this afternoon. There were 5 linguists from MCT who met up yesterday, and made the flight to the small Monterey airport. There they saw a Navy guy who was headed to language school, too, so he tagged along with the Marines. Since it was almost 9pm, they headed for a motel and some dinner. Will was looking forward to sleeping in a real bed again! We talked to him this morning and he was dressed in his Alphas, ready to call a cab and get to the Presidio. We're waiting to hear what the next steps will be: when his classes will begin, what language he finally gets assigned to learn, what his living quarters are like, who his roommate/roommates are, and what the holiday schedule is. We're keeping the phone close at hand :-)
There might be another post, as we learn some of the answers to these questions and get some pictures of the area....but thank you for your prayers and concern on both Aaron's and Will's behalf. We have been so encouraged by your questions and care for us and them. We know that although this phase of training is over, there are many adventures still in store for them....we're staying on the roller coaster till the ride ends!! Thanks for being with us!

What a fun day that was! Yup, this sure has been a roller coaster. So glad to be on it with you. :)
Aaron may be way over on the other side of the country, but I was on the phone with him 4 different times today. What a change from the last 5 months! I kinda like that part!
Laura texted him in the morning and he replied...sounds like he's getting settled in! I like that part of it, too. Ooh rah for cell phones!
